What is better for anti aging? Tretinoin 0.5% or tazarotene 0.1%? What can be used? AHA or BHA? Any advice on how to apply the retinoid? I only know it should be applied to clean dry skin at night. Can i mix it with lotion or cream? Can i put a moisturizing cream or hyaluronic acid over it? I have noticed most dermatologists have flawless skin which i am assuming its from their daily topical skin care routine and trying their lasers? Any serums or moisturizer you would recommend? Physical or chemical blocks? (I have a beard and physical sunscreen makes beard all white). Currently i use cetaphil cleanser, caudalie premier cru le serum, Dermaceutic Tri Vita C30 - 30% Vitamin C Serum, sun screen. Nocte i only use tazarotene without any moisturizer. Thanks in advance.
Diagnosed Issues: mild rosacea, sun spots, mild melasma, wrinkles Dermatologist put on when you can and when I asked her when or in what order her response was to ask my pharmacist. I replied that I am a pharmacist but I am unsure when to apply for optimal results. She responded that I can Google it. She's nice but I'm seeking another dermatologist haha In what order or what times do I put on the following products: Tretinoin cream Metrogel Hydroquinone Moisturizer Vitamin C or E serum
I have freckles, and they get very dark in the summer and I love them! I have been using Olay Max retinol moisturizer to help prevent wrinkles. This summer I noticed my freckles were virtually non-existent. I am wondering if it's because of the retinol in my moisturizer? If so, what other drug store moisturizers can I use to help with wrinkles, but keep my freckles!?
I recently reintroduced tretinoin into my skincare routine for acne scars and acne. i did tretinoin before but had to stop because my skin would never stop peeling. however i am trying again this time and have been using it on top of either cerave moisturizing cream or FAB ultra repair cream. i have had almost no side effects at all, and i am wondering, if I am usually very sensitive to tretinoin, does no side effects mean it is not working?
Dear doctors, I am prescribed 2% hydroquinone and am told to use it together with Retin A. Do I have to wait in between applications for absorption? I also have a moisturizer as well and I use it after applying Hydroquinone > Retin A > Moisturize with no wait time in between. I'd appreciate all the doctor's advise!
I have been using prescription Retin-A cream 0.05% once a week. the problem is after the treatment I get very sensitive . Plus also irritated I like to know what kind of cream or moisturizer that I could put on so before the next treatment. I usually use hypogenic non-fragranced moisturizer for sensitive skin, now Ive changed to Vaseline. And my worry is that between the treatments, I cannot use anything but Vaseline. Im worried that its not enough just using retinol and Vaseline itself. I cannot use the AHA/BHA cream, 2.0 LYTERA pigment correct serum, revival skin cream, and eye anti-aging serum
