I started using Retin A 0.025%. Last night the side of my face was very itchy and I rubbed it too hard. I know the redness and overall itching is for a few weeks (started this last week). I just washed my face and applied more Retin A. Will it go away?
It's been more than 1 week since I started applying Tretinoin gel 0.04% w/w (as microspheres). I apply daily at night after face wash and applying Tea tree toner. I apply pea size amount on one cheek and same quantity on other. Recently, it started tingling sensations when I applied this. Yesterday, my skin near nose and lips started peeling off, I peeled my half peeled skin which left that area resembling like burned skin. It's also burning a lot over there. I am really worried, plz suggest.
I have patches that look like burns. How do I reverse the effects? Ive discontinued using the product. Ive tried exfoliating the dead skin but its not peeling. I feel like Ive damaged my face. Photos attached. I want to cry everyday.
5 months ago i did something stupid. I picked a cystic pimple and then applying BP for 10 seconds (then washed it of). My dermatologist was very optimistic about the scar that it will even out eventually and the color will come back. Its still a bit atrophic and red after 5 months. Today I visited him and was concerned about the fact that on the scar are tiny little bumbs (very small pimples that are hard) and suggested to use Retin A every night on it. Is it safe? Or will cause more scarring??
Ive started tretinoin 0.05% and have been on it for about a month. Ive had this redness which forms a clear line down my face for almost two weeks. Is this par for the course or is this a sign of something bad? Ive covered my entire face with tret so its not a patch I have missed thats causing the difference and its the same on the other side of my cheek. Should I continue with the tret or stop before anything worse happens? Ive been using sunscreen too so its not that.
In my teens I overdid the acne treatments and Retin-A. am 32 now and I have enlarged pores with wrinkles and people keep asking me if I have a sunburn all the time. I've tried cerave, cetaphil, epiceram, topical fungal cream, thousands of dollars worth of products. I've tried leaving my skin alone with only water and I develop flaky skin with a layer of oil on top. Nothing hydrates my skin in any capacity. dermatologists prescribe topical steroid which even burns.
I believe I used too much Retinol cream on my face, with a moisturizer and woke up two days later with large, very tight and dray red areas on my cheeks. This is a photo, with makeup on, but you can still see the redness and swelling. The redness is VERY prominent without makeup.
Hello. I was put on Tretinoin cream 0.5%. I used the cream for 5 days in a row until I got this strange rash or burn beneath my lower lip.... does this look like a burn? I've never had something like this happen before. I've been putting an antibiotic ointment on it.
The first few days from using differin was normal...nothing really happen. However,on my 6th day i noticed that both my cheeks burns and sting a little.I had these red patches on my cheeks...so is it normal or am i allergic to it or should i stop using it?pls help!!
