The hair loss is more than likely from a combination of genetics, chronic stress, and history of Depo-Provera/morena IUD and more recently lo- loestrin birth control pill used to treat chronic migraine headaches . I would like to use Retin-A and vitamin C over my entire face neck and chest area to combat fine lines and sunspots, But I am concerned about the potential side effect of hair loss. Any advice?
I'm a 50 yrs old white woman, with fair skin. I've been using Retin-A for a few months now, starting at 0.025 % and just now started at 0.05%. I wash my face and then wait a couple of hours before putting on the Retin-A. Does that wait negate the affects of Retin-A? Also, I would like to add microneedling to my regime every few months. Is that possible, and how should I proceed with that? All info is greatly appreciated!
If I mix a pea sized amount of my nightly RetinA with equal amount of a moisturizer, am I getting the full prescription strength and benefit of Retin A? I have lots of irritation after two years of nightly use and my skin is completely rebeling. I'm wondering why now? I am now in hyper mode in trying to fix. Is Retin A, Drunk E. C, and a 12% Gycolic Acid cream, applied nightly, too much? If so, could I apply the vitamin c and glycolic for daytime? I use spf between 30&50 everyday. I am 52.
I feel like my skin is too delicate and sensitive and needs strength, maybe collagen. I've been told maybe Obagi .05 Retin-A & Obagi Blender FX with some Vitamin C and Peptides. Also I've been told microneedling could help. But then a natural skin care therapist told me Retin-A will thin & damage my skin. What should I do? I really need a protocol to build up the strength of my skin and help with fine lines I'm & thinness I'm seeing, esp around eyes but I'd like more robust skin in general.
I'll be 45 and am looking for anti-aging with Retin-A, especially around the eye area. How long does it take for thickening to happen? I'd like to increase my collagen levels. How long does it take for that? And are there any strengths better than others? I've got a few tubes of the .05 % right now.
I plan to go skiing for a week at the end of the month and I just started retin-a (used 1x) I plan to use once a week after I return from skiing, 2x a wk). If I continue my plan now, I would have used it, 4x before skiing. My cheeks will be exposed and yes, I do get wind burned sometimes (weather conditions) and I do ski everyday. I will ski approximately 4-5 hours a day. Please help.........I have olive skin and am in my early 50s. Thank you, MInMadrid.

Hello. I'm 46 years old and got a prescription for generic retain A. I knew that after a certain age insurance doesn't cover it but I was shocked when the pharmacist said it would cost a couple of hundred bucks!?!? is it possible that the prescription was written wrong or is it really that much out of pocket?
