About 8 years ago I had radiesse injected beneath my eyes. On one side there's a swelling that never went away. We have tried over the years to use other fillers to even it out on both sides. It has helped a tiny bit. You can see it pushes into the eye. It's especially bad when I smile with my teeth. I am very careful about my positioning and not smiling with my teeth. I read Dr karamanoukian response. He sounds so knowledgeable! I am hoping I can find someone in the San Francisco area
I had Radiesse done a few years ago for my cheeks to give my face a lift because I felt I was sagging. Having had Botox for years, I am fine with needles but this I found extremely painful, the next day I looked terrible. I thought, what have I done?! I had a black eye, I looked like a chipmunk, and my son said it looked like I had two snooker balls in my cheeks, but I have to say that after a few weeks it calmed down and I was pleased with the look. I am thinking about having it again but am concerned about the swelling. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
Hi, I had radiesse 5 1/2 months ago. I have had it flushed with saline 3 times, but there is some swelling/puffiness left. I am going to do some 5fu/low dose kenalog to reduce the remaining collagen. What are the risks and long term affects if this aside from atrophy? Is there still atrophy risk with very diluted kenalog, such as a kenalog 3 or 5?
I had 1 syringe of Radiesse (mixed w/lido) to tops of my cheeks. I'd had restalyn in the tear trough 6mos prior. It has been a nightmare. Severe swelling, inflammation, pain (day3-now). I'm on a 30day prednisone taper which has controlled the severe edema (for now). The discoloration is unrelenting. Using hydrquinone & tretinion, too. Is this discoloration in the skin or under the skin? How can I understand if it is due to active irritation, or the remaining effects of a prior reaction?
I had radiesse injections placed under the eye area over a year ago, and the area is still swollen. Certain days will look way worse. And one eye is definitely worse. Dicoloration has also been a nightmare. I went to an allergist recently who prescribed prendisone- and it worked. Don't want to stay on prendisone. Help!
I had Radiesse injected along the bridge of my nose from top near eyes to tip almost three years ago. I saw another local plastic surgeon the following week, and he massaged the Radiesse throughout my nose, including spreading it into my nostril areas. Since then, my nostrils remain swollen, inflamed, reddened.I have tried antihistamines and steroids to reduce the thick swollen reddened meaty look of my nostrils. I have been to ENT's who suggest I have allergy testing. The redness, swelling is localized to the nostril area. Any suggestions to correct this problem? Could the introduction of the Radiesse into that area trigger such an inflamatory reaction? All suggestions welcomed.

I had radiesse injected in my cheeks on Feb 2017. 5 months later, the lower part of my left cheek is swollen. I thought I was sick, so I saw specialists. Antibiotics helped the swelling go down slightly so I thought it was an infection. US showed something moveable, CT with and without contrast showed nothing. Healthy as can be. I can still see the swelling and there is a slippery mass that is moveable deep in my buccal area. Can it be from radiesse? How long does it take to get rid of it?
