Does cetirizine (brand name zyrtec) for allergies interact with finasteride make less effective? Does albuterol steroid inhaler also effect finasteride? Thank you very much I just want to make sure because I have really bad anxiety about my hair loss and I don't want any issues to pop up. Thank you.

Does cetirizine (zyrtec) for allergies interact with finasteride and make it less effective? No, there is no evidence that such a phenomenon would occur.

So according to the medical literature there are no interactions with finasteride.  But as with any medication, please discuss any changes you perceive with your physician.
