I went to a new provider after moving, told her my concerns & she said Radiesse in the cheeks. I thought that's what she was doing, however it's basically in my tear troughs. I hate it & look 10x worse, & just want it gone asap. She told me Radiesse was dissolvable. She used saline and it seemed to do nothing. In Wisconsin so not sure who to go to. I have engagement photos soon and getting married this year. I've had HA filler and sculptra before just never Radiesse.

I'm sorry you're going through this, especially with engagement photos and your wedding coming up. It's understandable that you'd want a solution as quickly and safely as possible.

The first thing to know is that Radiesse (calcium hydroxylapatite) is not dissolved the way hyaluronic acid fillers are. Unlike HA fillers, there is no equivalent of hyaluronidase that reliably dissolves Radiesse. Saline massage or saline injections have been reported anecdotally, but the evidence supporting their effectiveness is limited, and they often produce little to no noticeable improvement.

If the product was truly placed in or very close to the tear troughs, your options depend on whether you're seeing:

The actual Radiesse product,
Swelling,
A localized nodule, or
Early collagen stimulation.

Potential approaches include:

Time: Radiesse gradually breaks down over several months, and the appearance often softens as the product is resorbed and tissues remodel.
Careful camouflage with hyaluronic acid filler: In experienced hands, a small amount of HA filler can sometimes smooth the transition and improve the contour without dramatically changing your facial shape. This requires an injector who is very comfortable treating complex filler corrections.
If there is a firm lump or inflammatory nodule: Carefully selected treatments, such as corticosteroid injections, may be considered, but they must be performed cautiously in the delicate under-eye area because of the risk of thinning the skin or creating indentations.
Massage: This may help only if the product is very recently placed and superficial, but it is generally not effective once the filler has settled.

Because your photos are coming up, I would avoid rushing into aggressive corrective procedures unless you've been evaluated by someone with extensive experience in filler complications. An experienced facial plastic surgeon, oculoplastic surgeon, or dermatologist who regularly manages filler corrections is often the best resource. They can determine whether what you're seeing is actually the filler itself, swelling, or another issue that may respond to a different treatment.

The reassuring news is that this situation is usually manageable, even if it doesn't feel that way right now. The key is making sure the diagnosis is correct before pursuing additional treatment, as the best solution depends on exactly what is causing the under-eye fullness. With the right evaluation, many patients achieve a much more natural appearance while minimizing downtime.
