Can Chemical Peels be applied to the inner thigh area?

Hello, I'm Caucasian, but my inner thighs are very dark. I have no medical conditions, but I believe this is due to chaffing a lot when I was younger from being very overweight. I no longer have a chaffing problem. I know chemical peels help with dark patches/discoloration, but is it safe to apply this in my inner thigh area? Do chemical peels really work? Do I get this done at a plastic surgeons office, or a dermatology office?

Only very light peels like the VIP peels would be best. But test a small area first.......................

Chemical Peels and Inner thighs

It may be possible to lighten the area with topical bleaching creams or light chemical peels.  Please consult a board certified dermatologist who is an expert in chemical peels for the best cosmetic results.  Best, Dr. Green

Hello! Visiting a dermatologist for a consultation would be a good start.  Your doctor may recommend a topical skin lightening agent such as hydroquinone or glycolic acids.  The right chemical peel may also help lighten the area, but I agree that it is important to test a small area.  Best wishes!
