At-Home Laser Hair Removal Devices are not Safe

There is no such thing as safe at-home laser hair removal. In the past few years, a number of laser-like devices have been developed to try to provide patients with the ability to achieve hair removal at home. These devices are based on similar laser technology to target the hair follicle for destruction. The evidence behind these devices is limited to small, uncontrolled studies. Also, the risk of eye injuries with improper use is a real concern. Obviously, use of these devices is not worth the risk. It would be much safer for you to have your laser treatments in a physician's office, especially one who is board certified in skin or cosmetic surgery.
