How long does the pain last after the PRK procedure?

Pain after PRK

This is a really good question.  The discomfort after PRK for most patients is probably a day or two.  The discomfort also can depend on if you are accustomed to wearing contact lenses- as they are often a protocol of healing after the ICL.  I have had patients who were uncomfortable for a week.  Over the counter pain relievers can be helpful during this timeframe.
