Acute Skin infection after 1 IPL-Lumenis one Still dealing with chronic inflammation 1 yr later. Advice? (photos)

I had one IPL done for mild rosacea & sun damage 1yr ago. Doc office- Nurse did 2 passes on lowest setting. Post procedure I had mild swelling on cheeks for 1week. Over the next few weeks my face became increasingly hot&red. GP Dx acute skin infection. Been off&on Doxy. Ivermectin & steroid cream. Chronic inflammation & odd skin texture. Derm has been unhelpful. Can you recommend a reputable derm in Victoria/Van BC area? Looking for advise. Anything to calm the inflammation? 31yr F
