Rhinoplasty with septoplasty. Any suggestions? (photos)

To correct a severe hump and a large drooping tip. 2 and a half weeks since the op, splints removed another two weeks for the cast really really worried about the septoplasty and look of the nose. Nostrils appear large almost a cavern. Is the going to improve?

Thank you for your question. recovery takes 6 months to 1 year and swelling needs time. you will need time before you see the results.

The rhinoplasty recovery process can take 6-9 mos for a primary rhinoplasty.  There are huge changes that occur in the first few months.  As difficult as it is to be patient, one must be patient and just allow the healing process to continue.  More in-depth surgeries also tend to bruise and swell more.

You are very early in your recovery period and the nose is expected to be quite swollen at this point. The majority of the swelling will resolve in 3-6 months, and will continue to resolve as your nose heals for up to 1-2 years. You have not reached your final shape as the nose will continue to heal and reduce in size for up to a year. Once it does reach its final shape you may be more pleased with the appearance of your nose.
