How long is recommended before returning to exercise following a BBL procedure?

I live an active lifestyle & usually attend the gym 4-5 times a week, I do a mixture of cardio & weight training, some spin classes and yoga. I understand it would be a gradual process, but what kind of timescale would be realistic?

Exercising after BBL

Every surgeon is going to have different recovery guidelines following a BBL. In my practice, I tell my patients that they can resume light exercise 3 weeks after their Brazilian Butt Lift and slowly work their way back up to their normal pre-surgery exercise routine. At 3 weeks you can start doing some easy yoga again and easing back into your cardio and weight training. But ask your surgeon to make sure this is what he/she allows. Good luck!

I appreciate your question. I would recommend that you discuss this question with your surgeon as every surgeon has their own respective post op protocol for his/her patients.  Your surgeon is your best resource as he/she is most familiar with your medical history and how you are healing at this time. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative plastic surgery. Best of luck!
