A candidate for Vaser Liposuction is a person in good health who seeks a minimally invasive way to remove stubborn fat with less downtime than traditional #liposuction.  Vaser is ideal for those seeking improved definition of muscles and contouring.  Those who seek increased sculpting of are ideal vaser lipo candidates.

There are three types of #Vaser Lipo. Each benefit patients differently depending on their needs. Vaser Lipo  is capable of removing fat from resilent areas providing a smoother and slimmer results. It is common for reducing love handles, extra skin along the bra line or flanks on many female patients. Additionally, it is often applied to the reduction of male breast surgeries, called gynecomastia surgery. Meanwhile, Vaser Hi-Def  targets both deep and superficial fat cells which is found around muscle tissue. This is suggested to tone and defined rather than reduce fat when not necessary. Finally, Vaser #4D, although similar to Vaser Hi-Def works well with the existing muscle tissue.. However, it results in more natural appearing definition to those areas, being treated. Vaser 4D is often applied to treating abdominal region to improve definition.  Additionally, it's not uncommon for Vaser Liposuction to combined with fat transfer which removes and transfers fat to another area of the body.

It's best to begin consulting with a board certified plastic surgery to learn if you are a candidate for liposuction. If so, you will then learn more about which #technique will work best for you and your goals. It is important you select a plastic surgeon who is #board-certified and has a great deal of experience with #vaser #liposuction. Aside from checking board-certification, it is suggested that you look at before and after photos of the surgeons actual patients, and read patient reviews. Gathering all of this information will help you make a well-informed decision. Always discuss your issues and concerns with the Plastic Surgeon during and following your consultation. Information that you read online may not apply to your personal situation.

I appreciate your question.

Vaser assisted liposuction utilizes ultrasound to emulsify or melt felt prior to removal. It is also used to etch or define the muscles and normal anatomy to enhance the results. I use a specialized technique to remove the deeper fat areas and sculpt the superficial fat, so that one can achieve the goal of having not only a flatter stomach but also a more defined and curvaceous body if wanted. I can use this technique on the arms as well.

I also use the fat removed to graft into the pecs for men or breasts for women as well as into the arms and other areas to further enhance muscle definition.

The best candidates for the procedure already have a good muscular base.

The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam.  Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic plastic surgery and high definition body contouring.

Best of luck!

You look like a great candidate for Hi Def Body Contouring using the VASER. Without seeing other areas of your body the amount of fat retrieved may be different than it appears from the one photo provided. I sugget consulting with an expert Cosmetic Surgeon in VASER Hi Def Body Contouring to give you optimal results by sculpting and contouring your body to the highest degree. Best regards, Dr. Berger.

An evaluation of the abdomen requires looking at three things: skin fat and muscle. You do not appear to have extra skin. There seems to be enough fat to work with and do shaping. However it is not possible to assess your muscle from that photo. It may even seem like you have a small umbilical hernia from your photo. If you have muscle separation and or a hernia then the Lipo suction will obviously not improve this and may not be the best choice. Your best option is to see a board-certified plastic surgeon with experience in vaser high DEF.

The Optimal "Hi-Def" Candidate

Thank you for your question and photo.  The optimal or ideal Vaser Hi-Def candidate has very close to ideal body weight with good skin elasticity.  People who are grossly overweight are not good candidates and people who have loose skin with stretch marks are also not ideal, because their skin will not tighten enough to accentuate the underlying musculature.  Also, if one's goal is accentuate the abdominal musculature, then one needs to have strong abdominal muscles (in other words, we can't make a 6-pack from a keg!).  From the photo you submitted, you certainly appear to be at a good healthy body weight and you appear to have pretty good abdominal muscles.  The only drawback is that it also appears you have some stretch marks and skin laxity, either from pregnancy or significant weight loss.  This means you will not get the same degree of skin tightening as someone who does not have skin laxity, but you may still get good results.  In my practice, I would encourage you to add on a ThermiTight procedure in addition to Hi Def liposuction, as that would maximize skin tightening beyond the Vaser alone.  Of course, any opinion I give is limited, because I have not done an examination on you.  I would encourage you to find a qualified surgeon in your area and go in for a consultation and exam - your surgeon should be able to give you realistic expectations once he or she has had a chance to discuss your aesthetic goals and examine the area(s) in question.

If you have loose skin and stretch marks you need to have skin removal to really get the best in contouring.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Thank you for your question and a photo.By a body build you are suitable (HD Vaser is only offered to people who already slender to expose their muscle contours). However, a doctor need to determine what is your skin thickness is like, if there is fat layer or mostly connective tissue , if you have too much visceral fat (adipose tissue behind the muscle wall), if you have well toned abdominal muscles. Based on that  and also on you expectations and psychological health the surgeon will explain you what is realistically possible in your case.
