Ultherapy for Puppet Lines

Ultherapy works best when used to tighten loose and sagging skin on the neck and jowls. If you undergo Ultherapy, you may see some improvement in your puppet lines but the best treatment targeted for these areas would be dermal fillers. Dermal fillers have proven the highest success to treat these lines so it would be best to discuss these options with your doctor.

Does ultherapy work on puppet lines?

Ultherapy could potentially help with puppet lines but in order to truly treat them, I would recommend a dermal filler.

Ultherapy for puppet lines

The answer is maybe, because as you tighten the cheeks with Ultherapy® you get some lift of the folds. But Ultherapy doesn’t fill the folds. For that you still need a filler, usually Juvederm Ultra Plus. You may need both to help with the puppet lines.
For the jowls the answer is a definite yes. Ultherapy doesn’t bust fat, but does lift and tighten. As you tighten the cheeks and jowls, you get a lift. Viola! Where did the jowls go? They can really look a lot better.

Ultherapy Best on Jowls, Fillers Best for Laugh Lines

In studies, and in my clinical practice, Ultherapy helps with jowls. Ultherapy may also improve the appearance of laugh lines, but this is typically best corrected with dermal fillers.

Ultherapy nonivasive skin lifting for cheeks

For patients in their 40's to 50's, Ultherapy can provide a noticeable improvement in the cheek and jowl area. It is the only FDA-approved device for noninvasive facial lifting. The degree to which this affects the marionette or puppet line area will vary depending on many things including the patient's age, facial volume, skin tone, etc.

Ultherapy and Marionette (puppet lines)

Ultherapy of the face tightens the skin and may (may) help people with very subtle puppet lines, also known as marionette lines. It will usually NOT help. This may need a mini face lift or volume filling with Radiesse, Juvederm, fat cells, etc. Read the miraDry book on the link provided.
