Never have anyone place botox anywhere near your mouth. It is not recommended in my opinion and these types of things happen way too often. One thing you can try...to increase your metabolism, is to increase your level of activity. For example exercise etc. May or may not work but you have nothing to lose and all to gain. Hope this helps.Dr V
I'm sorry you are unhappy with your Botox treatment. The effects of Botox are temporary and should gradually improve over the next three to four months. There is no reliable way to speed up your metabolism of the product.
There is no way to speed up the process for metabolism of the neuromodulator. You may notice slight improvement with time, however full correction can take several months.
There is unfortunately no way to speed up how fast Botox wears off. Botox effects are temporary, however, and will wear off within 3 to 4 months. If the dose was low, it’s possible it might wear off a little bit sooner. The only thing you can really do at this point is be patient. I hope this helps.
We just finished a study comparing Botox and Xeomin last year and presented it at the Boston PS Meeting in November. We found the two products 100% identical in onset and duration. What we did not expect, was the variation in duration among the patients. Conventional wisdom in the early 90s when we first experimented with Botox, was that it lasted 3 mos. When patients told us that their Botox lasted 6 months or more, I dismissed it as wishful thinking because if the neurotoxin was not metabolized, new nerve growth was supposed to replace the blocked nerves in 3 to 4 months.NOT SO! In ten patients, we had variations from 2 1/2 months to 7 1/2 months with the majority between 3 and 4 months.Everyone was different with same dosage and administration!Metabolism cannot be accelerated but it will wear off. Be patient, and do not let anyone inject your lips again.
Hello, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to speed up the process. You should have received a rather small dose and your results should being to wear off around 3 months. All the best.
Unfortunately, there is not much you can do apart from letting time take its course. Hopefully it will improve quickly. Dr Bonaparte
Thank you for sharing your good question. Sorry to hear how unhappy you are with the results of your Botox treatment. Unfortunately, there is no way to make it wear off faster. Some effects might wear off sooner than you expect. You might consider having fillers injected to compensate for the problem. See a very experienced doctor to perform the treatment.Good luck,
Thank you for your question and I am sorry that your results have not been what you anticipated. Unfortunately there is no reversal agent for Botox nor is there any medication that can be used to speed its metabolism by the body.
Unfortunately, the effects of botox cannot be reversed. Although, the effects last for 3-4 months, you will slowly regain function so hopefully what you are currently experiencing won't be around for the whole 3-4 months. Good luck.Best, Payman Kosari, MD, FAAD
