Is it normal to get dark marks after laser tattoo treatments? (photo)

I just finished my fifth tattoo removal treatment. The ink seems to be gone but the area where the tattoo was got really dark? Not sure if it's normal. Will it be gone over time? What should I do next?

Residual ink?

It could be residual ink or blood. Speak with your surgeon or whoever performed your removal. You may need another session to clear this up. My best, Dr. Sheila Nazarian @drsheilanazarian on Instagram

This can represent residual ink or old blood as options. an additional session may lighten this dark mark. I would suggest the 532 wavelength for old blood.
