A mommy makeover is a combination of procedures to address restoring the body after childbirth. It typically includes breast work (augmentation, lift, or both), a tummy tuck, and some liposuction. Sometimes other procedures are also included. The cost varies greatly based on which procedures are to be included.
Mommy Makeover, what´s the average cost?
Thank you for your question. Mommy makeovers involve various combinations of proceudres to improve the breasts, abdomen, hips, back, arms, legs, buttocks, etc after childbirth. Combination procedures are safe and very effective in the right hands. The surgeon HAS to be an expert in EACH procedure and must have a lot of experience in performing combination procedures and can minimize the operative time. For example, we work in a team and would take around 4-5 hours for the complete operation. This allows us to get better results with less surgical time and less trauma. Our patients are typically wlking the same day and tapering off of pain medications by 4-5 days. By a week, our internattional patients are generally touring around Cartagena enjoying the sites of this UNSECO World Heritage City. Patients progress to unrestricted activities by 2 months, just as the final results are settling in. Prices vary a lot according to experience and board certification of the plastic surgeon, facilities, quality of the practice, region, etc… Combination procedures can give powerful results but SAFETY is KEY. You definitely have to choose your surgeon correctly and make sure that he/she has the training and experience to meet your goals with absolute safety. Don’t settle for less than a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with specialized expertise in this procedure.
Hello & Thank you for your question.A mommy makeover typically is a combination of a Breast Augmentation & Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). For a Breast Augmentation it is good to consider if you would like breast implants or fat transfer. But also if you will need a breast lift added. For a tummy tuck, you should make sure you are done with having childn. Patients typically need a recluse diastasis (muscle repair) to achieve optimal results. Make sure to allow yourself aa minimum of 2 weeks to recover after the surgery. This procedure can typically range around $8,000-11,000 USD. I hope this helps. Thank you for your question!

What is a Mommy Makeover?
Although pregnancy and motherhood are often considered two of the most exhilarating and beneficial times in a woman’s life, many women are surprised to find just how much their body can change during pregnancy and afterwards. Understandably, some women have difficulty adjusting to the unwanted and permanent physical changes, which can cause them emotional harm, reduce their self-esteem, and cast their appearance into a negative self-image. Some changes may be subtle stretch marks and varicose veins, and others can be significant, such as sagging breasts that are smaller than before or larger hips and waistline.
Plastic surgeons have developed a series of treatments that can correct, improve, reduce, or eliminate post-pregnancy bodily changes, both common and rare. We refer to these treatments, which can include the use of highly-advanced lasers and newly-improved liposuction, as the “mommy makeover”. The wellbeing of our clients is our number one priority, so we are pleased to say that most mommy makeover treatments are either nonsurgical or simple surgeries that do not require inpatient procedures.
A mommy makeover can mean many things but typically is restoration of the breast and abdomen after childbirth done at the same time. The cost depends on your geographic are but typically is $10-15K.

I appreciate your question.
A Mommy Makeover can mean many different things. Depends on the patient. For example, a combination Tummy Tuck, liposuction and breast augmentation.Cost varies by geographic location, surgeon expertise, OR time, anesthesia, length of procedure etc. I would recommend that you go to The American Society of Plastic Surgery website and look for a list of board certified plastic surgeons in your area. You can call their offices in advance and ask for quotes prior to scheduling consultations.
The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam.
Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative plastic surgery.
Best of luck!

What is a mommy makeover?
Giselle, Thank you for your question. Many of my patients present for a consult with this exact question. A MMO usually addresses the body changes that come with having babies ( think breasts and tummy).Usually a tummy tuck is performed ( remove excess tummy skin, tighten the tummy wall and liposuction of the hips and pubic areas) and combined with a breast procedure ( augmentation, lift, lift+ augmentation or reduction). Liposuction may be added to other areas as well. The exact plan will be individualized for every patient. Cost will vary depending on the area of the country and combination of procedures (~ $10,000- $20,000). Choose a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon that routinely does these procedures. Best wishes.
What is a mommy makeover? What procedures does it consist of and average costing?
The term “Mommy Makeover” has many different definitions depending on the
surgeon and entails different combinations of procedures. A tummy tuck,
selective areas of liposuction, and a breast augmentation with or without
a lift are frequently performed in combination or can be performed
sequentially. It is possible to do a “Mommy Makeover” without a breast lift in the appropriate patient.
There are many variables that contribute to surgical
fees: the extent of the procedure, geographic location of the surgical
practice, the credentials and level of training of the surgeon, his or her
expertise and reputation, the fee for the anesthesia provider, and facility
charge (the facility should be accredited by a national accrediting
organization like the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory
Surgery Facilities (AAAASF)). It is important to compare “apples to apples”.
You should find the most qualified individual to perform a surgical procedure,
not the least expensive. Your health and safety depend on it.
If your selection of a surgeon is determined
primarily by high or low fees, ultimately, you may be disappointed with your
choice. Shopping for bargains should be saved for sandals and t-shirts not
procedures that require scientific knowledge, training, judgment, artistry and
I would suggest that you see a plastic surgeon who is a diplomate of the
American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society
for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. The surgeon should discuss your desired outcome,
examine you, and then discuss the pros and cons of the various options. Whether
you are a candidate, depends on your medical history, stability of your weight,
anatomical findings, physical exam as well as the desired outcome.
