My left canine is removed & need to have right/lower premolars to bring teeth back.Is removing lower premolars necessary?(photo)

My orthodontist removed my left canine instead of premolar because it’s situated very high in my gums, attaching to little bone, has receded, and he said it's not worth sacrificing my premolar for it. I'm having my right premolar and the lower premolars removed next week. I don't think my front teeth is protruding that bad. I think removing 2 premolars on the bottom is creating way too much space for the front teeth to retract and scared it'll alter my appearance too. What should I do?
