Failed implants after a few month? (Photo)

I had stage 3 to stage 4 periodontal disease. Had 17 teeth extracted, and bone grafting then 12 implants 6 on bottom 6 top all in one 7 hour surgery. Now it's been 8 months been threw 2 surgeries implants are failing paid 51,000 for the procedure. Should the dental surgeon have waiting for the bone grafting to heal before implants.

There are 2 ways of doing this, first extractions and grafting and waiting for implants later or on the same surgery. Both have similar success rates, be sure to clean the area and wait for adequate healing time.

Do not despair!

You had extensive work! Your treatment journey will be much shorter because you had the implants placed immediately on the day of the extractions. That said, it's not unusual to expect more complications with healing. Your surgeon will hopefully be still be able to work with the implants present and maybe add additional implants later if needed.

The worst is behind you and the best is yet to come. Best of luck!
