Why Are There So Many Negative Reviews on the Fraxel Procedure?

While trying to get information on this procedure I noticed that there were way too many people with negative reviews on this Fraxel procedure. Some say their skin got worse and some say there was no difference. How will one know if Fraxel can really be effective if there is a 50/50 chance of success?

Fraxel Procedure

Fraxel is not an option for everyone, but it is excellent for the right candidate. Fraxel eliminates irregular skin discoloration, and stimulates new collagen production, tightening the skin without prolonged recovery. After a series of 2 to 4 Fraxel treatments, the cumulative cosmetic improvement is near more aggressive lasers, but unlike more aggressive lasers, redness and swelling eliminated within 2 to 4 days after each treatment. Fraxel is outstanding for fine wrinkles, mild skin laxity, irregular pigmentation, acne scars, surgical scars, enlarged pores, stretch marks, age spots and Rosacea. It can be used safely on the face, neck, hands, arms, and chest.

Why Are There So Many Negative Reviews on the Fraxel Procedure?

Not everyone is a candidate for Fraxel CO 2 laser skin resurfacing.  Skin tone, skin type, elasticity, environmental damage, history of smoking and drinking and sun and wind exposure all need to be taken into account, to determine whether you will experience any improvement.  Again, not everyone is a candidate for this laser, and you may be seeing mixed reviews if the laser is being utilized in inexpert hands.

Fraxel reviews suffer from unrealistic expectations

Fraxel Restore is a very safe and effective treatment but people who expect it to replace a facelift or get rid of wrinkles as well as an ablative laser treatment ( like Fraxel Repair ) are going to be disappointed. I have never seen it make someone's skin worse. Care does need to be taken on people of color to avoid hyperpigmentation. If you are considering Fraxel Restore make sure you know what it will do and what it won't.
