What is the "Quick 10 Minute Procedure" my Dr Mentioned to Rid my Residual 3/4 Bump After Rhinoplasty?

I'm 6 months post op with remaining oblique view bump. It sounds like something other than a full revision that my dr said he could offer, but don't know what it consists of?

Hump after Rhinoplasty

I would suggest you wait until a year before you have anything done to the nose. The tip may settle some more and then you may be looking at another procedure. As surgeons we all want the best for our patients and when the results aren't quite ideal, we feel compelled to help get you to where you want to be as soon as possible.

The nasal bones form a callous as they heal, for most people this settles as it heals. Some it doesn't. A simple rasping may help smooth it out. Depending on the remainder of the profile, a filler may help give you quick improvement with no extra procedure.

How to remove a residual bridge bump

Your surgeon is likely referring to a closed approach rasping of the residual dorsal bump.

You can check with your surgeon for details to verify the details, though.

In the meantime you can read about bridge hump removal at my web reference link below.

Touch Up Options for a Residual Bump after Rhinoplasty

Hard to know if this quick ten minute procedure is an injectable filler placement above the hump to camouflage it or whether it is a simple rasping done through a closed rhinoplasty approach.
