Fillers can be injected in multiple ways, different sizes of needles, different length of needles, different types of needles (sharp vs blunt). Additionally, the filler can be injected in a linear fashion or in depot type method. Each injector has their own methods which they have works the best for them. I chose to use and "S" type injection using a flexible blunt cannula. I have found that this matches the natural curvature of the face, reduces the incidence of bruising and gives a slight lifting effect. However, no one method is applicable to all patients, so the technique, needles, filler product, etc needs to be customized to each patient's needs.
