Inefficient Laser Hair Removal?
We recommend finding an experienced and reputable provider in your area with updated equipment. Calibration and power of the laser is important for a safe, comfortable and effective treatment. Find out what laser they will use and if it is under a maintenance contract. If their laser isn’t calibrated on a regular basis or is underpowered, your treatment may be painful or inefficient.

Laser hair removal
The alexandrite laser is one of the best lasers for hair removal. The real issue with hair removal is that people expect all their hair to be gone after 6 sessions. While most people will get a significant improvement after 6 sessions, some may need as many as 10 to 12 treatments for optimal improvement. Unfortunately laser hair removal is not an exact science. In addition, hair regrowth can also occur in the future and additional maintenance treatments may be necessary. In addtion, few may not get significant results. Other options may be to try a diode or YAG laser. While the alexandrite laser best targets the pigment in the hair, the longer wavelength of the diode and YAG laser penetrates deeper and may target follicles missed by the alexandrite. Settings and the experience of the provider are also important although your results in no way implies that the person doing your treatment did not know what they were doing. Even in our practice, most of our clients get excellent results while some may get less than optimal results.
Hope this helps
