I have teeth that meet edge to edge and have been recommend tooth extraction. Second opinion? (photo)

I have teeth that meet edge to edge, my Orthodontist recommended extraction of lower front tooth. Is that a normal practice? He says it won’t be noticeable but when I talk my lower teeth are more visible than upper ones. I feel like it won’t look good, I also googled similar cases to mine and don’t see any pictures of people that have done this. I hope you can shed some light for me on this. I would really appreciate it!
