Unfortunately one of my tattoos isn't responding to laser, since the artist mixed something in with the ink. My options are either a serial excision or a tissue expander. The tattoo is placed on the shoulder. Is it medically possible to place a tissue expander on the shoulder? Are there any complications? If it isn't possible- could multiple expanders be placed around the area and the expanded skin used alternatively?
