Will getting hyaluronic acid injections in the lips cause your body to stop naturally producing it?
I have heard conflicting statements. One that using hyaluronic acid fillers will eventually cause your body to produce more of the material naturally on it's own, and the other that your body will produce less and your lips will be smaller when you stop getting injections. What actually happens with long term use of fillers?

Thanks for your query. No medical data will verify the statement that injecting collagen stops the production of collagen from other body parts. Hyaluronic acid gradually gets absorbed and gets excreted out of the system. It stays for a period of 12-18 months. Hope it helps.
