Baltimore tummy tuck and swelling

Swelling of the entire body can occur, most likely secondary to the IV fluids received during surgery. However, if it lasts for many days check with your plastic surgeon to make sure you're healing correctly.

Full body swelling after surgery is likely due to fluid overload

It is normal for your body to retain water after surgery. Patients may notice this by finding that they gained weight. You may find that your tight pants and shirts feel extra tight or your bracelets are tighter. This swelling will resolve over time. If however you are concerned, talk to your plastic surgeon. He or she may be able to prescribe you medication to get rid of the swelling faster or if there is anything abnormal going on, diagnosis it properly.
