Hi, I'm an Asian and 24 y/o. I had fraxel:restore treatment about 9 days ago to remove my acne scars. I healed well during the last week and now my skin looks the same as before (maybe with a little improvement). But this morning I forgot to apply sunscreen and had a exposure in the sun for 30 min in my car between 9 am and 10 am. Is it very harmful to me and am I going to get hyper-pigmentation or something? And how long should I continue to apply sunscreen?

Timing is always an issue when rejuvenating the face with these products. In general fillers and Botox can usually be done at the same time, but the potential swelling after a laser or fraxel procedure has the potential to move the freshly injected product, whether it be filler or Botox...
Thank you for your question. Fraxel dual has 1927/1550 wavelengths which works on pigmentation, lines, acne scars and stimulates collagen. It sounds like the scab dots are the pigmentation, which usually falls off in a week. I would make sure to apply daily sunscreen with zinc. ...
Keep the area moist with a product such as Aquaphor, wash very gently, avoid the sun, use cold compresses and see your doctor. The sandpaper feeling will peel off in a few more days, you will feel more comfortable and must protect your skin from the sun.
