Thank you for your question. Surgical body contouring following major weigh loss removes excess sagging fat and skin while improving the shape of the underlying support tissue. This result is a more normal appearance with smoother contours. Dramatic weight loss has many benefits. But after weight reduction surgery, or any substantial amount of weight loss, the skin and tissues often lack the elasticity, making it sag.
Body contouring may include: Breast lift, tummy tuck, thigh lifts, arm lifts, breast lift, face lift

What is body contouring ?
Body recontouring is a general term applied to any or a group of operations required to change or remodel areas of the body below the neck. Body recontouring procedures would include breast enlargement or breast reduction, breast lift, full or a mini abdominoplasty, liposuction, thigh lift and arm lift (brachioplasty).
"Flabby arms" would require either removal of the extra skin (arm lift or brachioplasty) or liposuction or a combination of both. An arm lift normally requires an incision from the elbow to the arm. In order to remove the extra skin. Liposuction alone however can be performed through a very small incision. In this procedure a blunt hollow tube is passed through the fat several times in order to break it up. The broken up fat is then suctioned out through a tube.
If you are considering arm recontouring you should consult a surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery who performs body contouring procedures on a regular basis
Body Contouring is a general term that refers to a number of potential surgical procedures used to improve the cosmetic appearance of such areas as the breasts, chest, back, arms, tummy, hips, buttocks and thighs. The procedures can be tailored to suit your particular needs. Arm contouring can require a very long scar along the arm or a scar hidden in the under arm area depending on how much skin and fat needs to be removed. Liposuction can be used in arm contouring as well. An in-person exam is necessary to evaluate your condition so consult with an experienced plastic surgeon who is certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery to learn about your options.
Body Contouring improves areas of the body damaged by childbirth, weight gain and loss as well as aging. This can involve the arms, abdomen, back, or legs. Multiple surgical options are available and can be customized to your specific needs.
Thank you for your question. Body contouring is a generic term used to describe many procedures that have to do with contouring the body. Abdominoplasty, liposuction, thigh lifts and arm reduction are a few that fall into the "body contouring" group.
Thanks for your question. Photos would definitely help. Body contouring is just liposuction done artistically by removing fat from a persos body. It shaping it to contour to the underlying muscle and bone anatom. When it pertains to the arms, it may just be fat or skin and fat. I have usually been surprised at how much the arms shrink even with excess skin with just liposuction and laser therapy. However, sometimes removal of arm skin is necessary which is known as a brachioplasty. Hope this information helps. Good Luck.
All the best,

Thank you for asking. Body contouring is a generic term to describe cosmetic plastic surgery for different parts of the body. It may include breasts, abdomen, hips, thighs, buttocks and arms. Arm procedures may a formal brachioplasty (arm lift) or simple liposuction depending on the patient's skin and tissues. Seeing a board certified plastic surgeon with cosmetic training and experience is the way to start. Look at pictures and discuss your goals with a PS. Best wishes!
in general this issue is best addressed with brachioplasty and adjuvant liposuction. risks include lyphedema and damage to the medial antebrachial cutaneous nerve.
The term body contouring may refer to any one of a dozen or more procedures that alter the shape of the body. Reduction of excess arm volume may be as simple as liposuction in a very young person with firm elastic skin. That would be a poor choice in an older patient or a weight loss patient with poor skin quality. Then a brachioplasty is in order to surgically remove the excess skin and fat, sometimes coupled with liposuction.
Body contouring is surgery that is designed to remove and contour tissues that are in excess or tissues that are exercise resistant. Flabby arms can be either fat excess alone or fat and skin excess. Based on your question alone and with out photos, I assume you will likely need a brachioplasty, which aims to remove the fat and skin that is hanging in the back of your upper arms. It would help if you post photos to be more exact in response. Hope this helps.
