Is it normal to feel the dental implant at while running your finger over your gum? (photos)

had dental implants on the left side for missing canine and lateral but the doctor said there was not enough space. The outer piece was loaded a week ago and I noticed the I can feel the implant when I run my finger over my gum. Is that normal or is it a clue that is improperly placed?

as u said 'outer part loaded week ago' there are two possibilities , it should be  healing abutment or regular abutment. [not clearly visible in photo] anyways it will stay there only and crown structure will come on that . its my advice do not touch or feel again and again .

Implants if properly placed should be completely inside the bone.  Sometime some of the covering bone is lost and you can feel the implant.  It does not mean the implant has failed, simply it is compromised.  Regular exams and good oral hygiene will help keep it serviceable.

Hi, I am not quite sure by what you mean as "not enough space" being present for the implant. If you mean that a 3D X-ray showed insufficient bone width/height and an implant was placed in that position anyway, it could be that you are feeling the implant threads with your finger and I would definitely recommend having a qualified periodontist or oral surgeon evaluate the health of your implant as soon as possible.
