Hey, I’m 24 years old and have been on Finasteride 1mg/day for 8 months and seen moderate improvement but now I want to switch to Dutasteride 0,5 mg/day since it’s superior. Can I just stop taking Finasteride and start the Dutasteride or do I need to taper off the finasteride as I start Dutasteride? Also does it matter when I take Dutasteride during the day? On an empty stomach or with a meal?

Your hair loss will progress to some degree and the speed of progression will depend on the your underlying genetics and how much you respond to treatment. But in all likelihood there will be some worsening over time. See a physician to discuss that plan over the next 75 years.
Thank you for your question, This needs an in-person evaluation. I suggest seeing a hair loss expert now to evaluate and go over your condition and provide you information about your best treatment options. There are great non-invasive options like prp/progesterone and/or hair transplantation. ...
Dutasteride does not help everyone and do keep in mind that if you have other hair issues present other than nale balding, dutasteride may or may not help at all. See an expert to review all the details of your situation.
