Still Have a Bump After Rhinoplasty? (photo)

I just had Rhinoplasty, Septoplasty, about 6 days interest is in removing the hump i had on the bridge of my nose. I had a closed nose surgery . when i removed the thin layer of tape on my nose i had a slight hump. I am worried but don't know if this is just swelling?

Dear DimeDany,

Thank you for your photos and question.  In general, you had an improvement to your nose.  There may be residual hump, or this may be swelling, likely both.  This may improve over time, but wait at least 6 months before considering a revision rhinoplasty.

Best Wishes,

Yes it could be residual polly beak deformity (hump) or swelling, or both. But why did you remove the tape?? Have your chosen surgeon remove and see you in person ASAP!

6 days post op is too early to address your final dorsal profile. Be cautious and patient, follow your post op instructions and address any questions to your surgeon. Hope this helps.
