Yes you can. However, if the implants are in the back of the mouth, we usually recommend leaving the space to allow for better healing. Stayplates are typically for cosmetic reasons.  Happy healing!

You don't say if your dentist placed the implant or whether it was an oral surgeon or periodontist. I would suggest seeing a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who does lots of implants. Have them do a complete exam and consultation and see what they think your options are.
