Microdermabrasion is often very useful on patients of color. It can take down some of the dead skin and stratum corneum. Usually multiple microdermabrasions need to be done over time to see more significant results. Make sure that you have a good conversation with your skin care professional as to how aggressive the treatment will be and the expected effects over time.

Microdermabrasion is a great treatment to have every 2-4 weeks apart. Patients of all skin types are able to receive this with no side effect as long they're seen by an experienced provider.

Microdermabrasion can be performed safely and effectively for all skin types presuming the right equipment and operator are using them - for darker skin especially, I would make sure to obtain your treatments at a medical office.

Yes as long as it is performed by an experienced professional, preferably a physician or a medical assistant under the supervision of a physician (in a doctor's office). We do a lot of microdermabrasion in my practice on all skin types with great results.
