Does DNA expand skeletal/hard tissue? Can you get good lateral growth with it? Is it best possible application for that?

Hello. I have narrow palate so I don't have enough space for my tongue to have proper position on palate. I have asymmetrical face. My left jaw is wider than the right one. I noticed when I open mouth that left side of jawbone pops out. I never had examination for TMJ so I don't know if this is it. I would like to get wide palate and correspondingly wide smile. Will DNA help me with skeletal expansion. I would like to get more lateral bone growth. What's your suggestion on my case?

Your recessed chin is more of a problem than just aesthetic. The recessed chin is also causing your TMJ problems and could also be causing sleep breathing problems. The DNA appliance alone would probably not correct your recessed chin (retruded lower jaw). The mRNA would be more predictable....

There are subtle design differences between the two appliances but both are effective to develop dental arches (orthopedic development). These are not the only two arch development appliances either. There are many effective arch development appliances that work well in the right hands. Good luck!

Facial Asymmetries may be completeely or partially corrected with a DNA Appliance depending on underlying issues.Orthodontics and/or Clear Aligners are sometimes needed to finish a case.
