Hair re growth after Moh's?

i had Moh's procedure on my scalp Jan.31,2015. They did stitches inner and outer. Had outer stitches removed a week after. A scab formed and when it fell off about 3weeks ago I seen some hair in the scab. Now the spot isn't growing any hair and feels smooth not stubby like before. Will my hair eventually grow back in that spot?

Scalp Mohs surgeries are very common and depending on the depth of the cancer, the size of the defect, the type of repair and the suturing techniques used, the hair can come back 100% or not at all. It may take several months to determine hos much hair will return.Please see your surgeon and see what can be done.

Sometimes, the hair follicles around a hair-bearing incision get stressed and turn to a resting phase after surgery.  This can last 3-4 months, and permanent hair loss is rarely a permanent complication in a tension-free hair-bearing incision.  Avoid picking or traumatizing the affected area, and show it to your surgeon.  If there are tiny hairs growing in the region, I would give it more time; if the affected area shows absolutely no hair growth, you may do well with a scar revision to remove a bald patch of scalp, or hair transplants.
