Is Elite iQ laser effective for treating port wine stains?

Although it is most widely advertised as a hair removal treatment, I was reading about Elite iQ as an option to treat port wine stains. How does it compare with other laser treatments? I'd imagine the melanin recognition technology could be useful for something like this, because one of the main concerns with laser is that it could flare up the condition by creating worse pigmentation or causing burning.

Hello. IPL should always be used by a trined professional, since using the wrong settings can stain or burn your skin. I would not recommend to do this at home. You should always go back to where you did the hair removal for the yearly touch up.
Basically you want to wait until all the incisions are completely healed before proceeding with laser hair removal. On average we would recommend 8 weeks after surgery to be completely safe and reduce risk of side effects or infection.
