FemiLift: Are there any side effects?

What are the side effects from the FemiLift procedure? If so, how common are they?

Side Effects Uncommon from FemiLift

Although there is risk with any procedure there is very little risk of excessive scar tissue or desensitization with the FemiLift, Mona Lisa or ThermiVa devices. FemiLift™ and Mona Lisa™ procedures use CO2 laser technology and the ThermiVa™ uses RF (radiofrequency) to shrink vaginal tissue and increase lubrication if dryness is a problem. The tightening is often sufficient to improve or correct urinary stress incontinence and/or mild cystoceles. The procedure is done in office and requires little or no post procedure down time.
The advantages are :
  • Minimally invasive, virtually painless procedure
  • Gentle treatment for controlled safety and accuracy
  • Maximum precision with Alma CO2 laser, the right wavelength and perfect pulse
  • Fast and efficient delivery of fractionated laser energy split into micro pixels
  • No post treatment downtime
  • Excellent patient satisfaction and long term success The Disadvantage of the FemiLift and MonaLisa is that is is only for vaginal treatment whereas the ThermiVa RF device can be used to shrink the labia minora as well and is more comfortable. These procedures cannot narrow the vaginal canal as much as a vaginoplasty surgery

FemiLift Side Effects

Thank you for your question. FemiLift is a safe, FDA- approved treatment for feminine rejuvenation with minimal risks and side effects. FemiLift is not a permanent solution to stress incontinence or as vaginal tightening. It does however, help reverse (turn the clock backwards) and slow down the aging process. After your initial series is completed, it is recommended to come in yearly for a maintenance treatment. Other benefits of FemiLift include:

Non-surgical procedure
Non-invasive procedure
Vaginal tightening
Decreases incontinence
Increased lubrication
Restore a youthful vagina
Strengthens the ligaments around the bladder and urethra
Requires no downtime

Side effects are minimal and may include slight discharge for a couple days post procedure. I suggest consulting with a qualified provider for a full consultation.

FemiLift: Are there any side effects?

Thank you for asking this question. As a Gynecologist who has performed FemiLift for over 30 patients, I can share their results with you.
there is no side effect except some liquid or vaginal discharge for few days, which is the old tissue is being excerted.
You need to make sure the doctor who is doing it is familier to vaginal anatomy and laser safty.

Side effects with the procedure

I have not any reported side effects with the procedure so far.  Although there are some contraindications in using the procedure.  For example, it is not recommended to perform the procedure while on your period or during a vaginal infection.
A consult first with your physician should help answer these questions.

Side Effects of FemiLift

The majority of patients report no side effects after the treatment.  A few patients have reported slight spotting and/or mild cramping for a day or two after the procedure.  However, there have been no reports of discharge or infection.  All patients are able to walk out of the office and resume their daily activity.

Does FemiLift have side effects?

FemiLift produces a slight, light vaginal discharge that is proportional to the dose of energy delivered at the session. Women with a deeper vagina receive a larger dose than those with a shallower vagina. The discharge is never more than a few days.

Side efefects of FemiLift

Most patients will have slight odorless discharge that may have a small amount of blood. We have seen no major complications or adverse events as of this date. FemiLift is an amazingly effective procedure!
