Are PDO threads effective for deep forehead lateral lines? (Photo)

I have deep forehead lateral lines (three, a fourth becoming more pronounced) I have had since childhood. I’ve tried botox and been happy with the results. They’re never gone, but significantly minimized. I don’t like the resulting side effect of headaches, or the fact that as an active adult male botox only seems to last for about 8 weeks. Are PDO threads a preferable option for me? What product should I look for and what might be a ball park reasonable cost?

Hello and thank you for your question. Neuromodulators like Botox require a great deal of precision in both dosing and needle placement to achieve the best results. There are also other neuromodulators, such as Dysport, which offer a slightly different formulation but very similar results. I recommend trying one of these other neuromodulators to see if you can achieve a similar result, but without the side effects. Some patients also find that one product may last slightly longer than another. I would not recommend a thread lift in this area. Make sure you are working with an injector who has ample training and experience to produce the best possible result for you.
