Hi! I am a woman, 41 years old. I am dealing with androgenic alopecia, not diffuse, but progressive receding hairline. None of the treatments I have tried have worked. I am interested in getting a hair transplant. But I have a genetic predisposition to developing pilar cysts. They form on the spots where I bump my head into something. I have already removed 3. Currently still have 5. My question: will a hair transplant procedure lead to the formation of pillar cysts in the receiving area?
