Is not being able to smile 3 weeks after fat transfer to lips normal?

I've tried asking my PS but he doesn't answer questions; a medical assistant does. She says nerves are bruised and will take a few more weeks. I can smile a little but not fully and the issue seems to be my upper lip-it won't stretch out fully. I look v weird when I try to smile, like Botox gone wrong. Is this normal? When will it go? What can I do? Maybe the muscle is still repairing from having fat injected in it? Or possibly I have "frozen" lips from lack of movement the 1st 2 weeks?
