Unhealthy Hair graft during slitting process for FUT procedure.

During an FUT hair transplant procedure when the hair follicles are being separated some Hairs become damaged or unhealthy during slitting process. I was wondering if those Hairs are good to be planted on top of head or they become useless ?

While your donor hair is being dissected under a microscope, it can be damaged by inexperienced techs.

Hair Graft Damage

Hair transplantation is a highly specialized procedure, dissecting grafts and maintaining viability is very important to overall results. Minimizing amount of transection will maximize regrowth. Even transected hair follicles should be transplanted rather than thrown away as they may grow.

Damage during strip harvesting

Grafts that are damaged might survive if they are transplanted depending upon how much of the hair follicular unit is present. It requires experts to know as this process is our hands, is performed under stereo microscopic control so we minimize the amount of damage
