Could my corneas too thick for lasik or prk?

I am still waiting to hear from the Dr., but the lady at the office seemed pretty discouraging. Was told both corneas are 626 microns thick, if my vision still holds true my prescription is -3.75 in both. Don't have diabetes, have never been told I have high eye pressure. Are my corneas too thick for lasik or prk?
