Is Sofwave worth the money?

Hi, I’m 60 and have fairly good skin. My neck is my biggest concern, and I was wondering if a sofwave treatment for 1800. is worth the money. A lower jaw and neck surgery is 25,000.

Thanks for your question. Sofwave uses micro-focused ultrasound to deliver heat to the deeper skin layers, resulting in the production of new collagen and elastin in the treatment zone. This has the effect of both smoothing and tightening the skin. In 2021 it received FDA clearance for multiple indications including lifting the skin of the under chin and neck regions. This means that they had to prove that the treatment was effective for specifically those concerns, in order to "make those claims". Sofwave represents a significant advancement in this technology over previous devices which attempted to deliver similar result. Now, you can never fairly compare a non-invasive, no downtime treatment to a surgical procedure with removal of skin and plication of muscle. At my medical spa we have been impressed with the results we have seen in both the face and neck with this device and our clients have been equally pleased. Given the age of 60 you should expect to do the procedure twice, 3 or more weeks apart, then watch the results develop over the following 6 months.
