AS nerves regenerate, it os not uncommon to experience vague "pins and needles": sensations. Generally these tend to resolve with time. Gentle desensitization exercises or therapy, if that meets with your surgeon's approval, may result in diminished awareness of these sensations.

Tip Tingling 6 Months after Rhinoplasty

Tingling is usually secondary to sensory nerves regenerating after surgery. This is normal but usually does not continue for 6 months. After examination your surgeon can tell you if this is simply an example of prolonged healng.

Nose Tingling After Rhinoplasty

Siga, to some degree these sensations are normal following a rhinoplasty. This is noted even more often in my rhinoplasty patients who had an open approach (where we make an incision across the bottom of the nose). The sensations reflect the sensory nerve fibers that are starting to 'wake up' following a temporary down time from the surgery. That being said, it would be best for you to consult with your rhinoplasty surgeon to ensure that there is nothing else going on to explain the sensations. Good luck.
