About 2 years ago I developed a small cluster of warts on my arm near my wrist. Since then, I have tried treatments varying from liquid nitrogen, to apple cider vinegar, to cantharidin. None ever worked as a permanent solution and because of so much trauma to the affected area, a dark red circular scar remains. Summer time is fast approaching, and although I have been prescribed a steroid treatment, I would prefer a more immediate solution. Are there any alternatives that are affordable?
Dark scars can be improved with topical therapy, including Melarase creams and Plato's Dark Scar Corrector. Treatments may take months to complete. For redness, pulsed dye laser seems to provide improvement.
