Is It Possible to Remove All the Excess Fat in the Tummy Area at One Time with Smart Lipo?

How often is smart lipo repeated to get close to an ideal amount of fat removed from the belly?

There is a maximum amount of fat that can be removed by Smart Lipo at one time

Smart Lipo is routinely done as an outpatient under local anesthesia (a technique called tumescent anesthesia).  Many surgical societies have developed guidelines about how much fat can be safely removed during liposuction using tumescent anesthesia.  That number is usually about 4 liters.  That is a large volume of fat, and it would be a big person that would have more than 4 liters of fat to be removed from the abdomen.

Liposuction of the abdomen will not remove all the fat from the abdomen.  You want to keep a thin layer so that there is not contour deformity.

Smart Lipo is a great adjuvant tool in removing excess fat from the abdominal tissue.   The smart lipo system combines traditional liposuction (the removal of fat via direct suctioning) with the use of a laser underneath the skin.  This laser can help to remove the fat easier and can allow for greater skin retraction.   Liposuction in the abdominal area can be performed circumferentially, so that the posterior hip rolls are contoured with the front side of the abdomen.  This allows for a better overall contour of the abdomen.

It is not only impossible to remove all of the fat it also not a god idea. You need a glide plane if fat between the skin and muscle below ir you will have ripples and lines. This a contourinng procedure not a weight reducer

Be careful of overdone liposuction

"Taking all the excess fat" is almost a sure way to get an overdone liposuction result with dents and grooves and contour irregularitites that are virtually impossible to fix.  One of the problems with laser liposuction technology is that the practitioners are encouraged to go close under your skin in the hopes that the heat will make the skin shrink more than nature would allow.  This has led to countless problems I have seen in patients who are seeking second opinions unhappy with their overdone results.  Conservative liposuction plus diet and exercise wins every time IMO.
