I'm 37 and I had a stroke due to a hole in the heart, I had a pfo closure six months after my stroke. All is going well as I have no symptoms, I'm on preventative medications which are aspirin, lostat 40 mg and coversyl 2.5 mg. I'm healthy but concerned Drs won't want to touch me.
Thank you for your question. You may be a candidate for surgery. If you were a patient in my practice, I would have you evaluated by your cardiologist to make sure that you are medical stable to undergo general anesthesia. Good luck.
