Yes, the upper jaw has to be 'moved down' and measured at surgery to ensure the amount of movement. The teeth cannot be lengthened so moving the bone is the only true option. Talk to the surgeon.He can maintain the same bite

The actual bone shape at the angle does not  with osteotomies so you need to have a jawline implant ( see website) to alter the contours. It can be done at the same surgery or afterwards. It is a very esthetic change
