Not getting the results from IPL sessions, should I get Fraxel/Fractional laser?

Question

So I had IPL done just over a year ago and had pretty good results from the nurse that did it. Anyway, still a few spots that didn't go away or came back so I had a couple more IPLs including with Lumecca and no results last 2 times!! With all the money I'm spending this last one $550 and wants to do another would I be better to just pay and have fractional or Fraxel done instead of $500 plus bucks a pop for IPL? Very upset I keep paying for IPL last 2 times and no results!

Thank you for your question. Treatment of pigmented lesions involves using a particular wavelength of light to target specific pigments. For example, red spots require different treatment from brown spots, which require a different treatment from dark brown or black. The best treatment depends on the color of each individual spot. IPL is great in that it can target a variety, but sometimes focused treatment is necessary. I would suggest consultation with a physician who is trained in light-based treatments if you are not achieving desired results. Hope this info helps, and all the best.
